15 questionsHow the AZ-900 exam works
- Format: multiple choice and multiple response. Some questions ask for more than one answer, and partial credit is not given.
- Length: around 40–60 questions, with about 45 minutes of answering time inside a 60-minute appointment.
- Passing score: 700 on a scale of 1000. That is a scaled score, not a straight percentage, though 70% is a sound target when practising.
- Prerequisites: none. AZ-900 is the entry point to the Azure certification path and assumes no hands-on experience.
- Cost: varies by country; check the official exam page for current pricing in your region.
A word on how to use this. Memorising answer letters does not
pass AZ-900. The questions here are deliberately paired with explanations and
links to Microsoft's own documentation — read the reasoning for the ones you get
wrong, and the ones you guessed right.
